AN ANALYSIS OF THE NEW CHALLENGES FACING CYBER SECURITY EXPERTISE

Overview

Abstract: The article provides an analysis of the challenges facing cyber-security expertise. The research is characterized by an integrated approach to the interdisciplinary nature of the problem. The reason for this approach is the need for the involvement of institutions that create new laws affecting the content of educational curriculum. Only an institutional approach is able to provide the basis for an adequate response to the cyber-security picture that is suffering from a growing shortage of cyber-security experts. This pose new challenges for educational institutions. The article focuses not only on the effects of cyber invasions on the preparation of designers, system architects, and developers. It also concerns experts from neighboring subject areas who are involved in the development of the regulatory framework for cyber-security, the institutional norms for curricula in education. The cyber-security education model needs changes. We propose new elements that relate to the preliminary preparation of teams of designers, developers and testers with a regulatory framework that maps the subject area in which the product is created. Developers competencies required are increasing. So far, they have been interdisciplinary because of the nature of their work. They already include regulatory compliance.
